Lake Roxanne Watershed Action Plan

Lake Roxanne is a 199-acre lake in the Town of Ellenburg in Clinton County. The lake is privately owned but hosts a popular local campground and has a 29,004-acre watershed that includes much of the North Branch Great Chazy River. In 2023, Lake Roxanne was selected to develop a watershed action plan through a grant supported by the Lake Champlain Basin Program and NEIWPCC. The lake has high nutrient concentrations and a large infestation of water chestnut.

What is a watershed action plan?

A watershed action plan is a concise, action-oriented plan for the protection or improvement of the water quality of a lake or stream.
